PROfit
Version 3.5
A system where witnesses select features that match what the offender’s face looked like. The features are presented in the context of a whole face but can be easily switched in and out.
EVOfit
Version 1.6.2
EvoFIT provides faces with a variety of characteristics. Witnesses identify faces that best represent the offender and the software combines the choices to produce new faces. The process is repeated until a suitable likeness is attained.
EFIT
Version 6
Witnesses select from a group of faces while the software combines chosen images. Once best and worst matches are selected, EFIT-6 software produces more images that resemble the subject. This process repeats until there is a close resemblance to the target face. There are many tools that can assist in subtle changes of the faces and link to other programs such as Paint shop Pro to further modify the image.
